A young newari boy has received a fresh Tikha, a sign of blessing, during a ceremony for future farmers of the Kathmandu valley.
Newaris are the best known ethnic group in the valley, famous for their skills as artisans and builders. Even though they are of indian origin, they practice buddhism, with a strong dose of hinduism mixed in.
